Northmarq is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Analyst to join our Compliance Team within the Loan Servicing Operations Department at its Bloomington, MN office. This role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and Servicing Agreements, coordinates audits, delivers accurate reporting, and supports the development of compliance-related improvements. Analyzing data to identify trends, inaccuracies, assess risks, and recommend solutions is a key component of this position, which is vital in maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory integrity across our servicing portfolio.

*This role supports a flexible schedule that prioritizes in‑office teamwork, with flexibility for remote work when appropriate.

Specific Responsibilities
  • Represent Northmarq in the coordination of various audits by corresponding with internal and external auditors, organizing audit requests, and collaborating with internal departments to meet deadlines.
  • Compile and deliver monthly reports to lenders, ensuring accuracy, professional communication, timely submission, and adherence to lender guidelines.
  • Utilize data analysis to identify trends, pinpoint inaccuracies, evaluate risks, and propose actionable solutions, contributing to ongoing compliance enhancements and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and submit monthly and quarterly certifications for lender receipt, compiling data in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of New Portfolio Setups, ensuring complete and accurate data population based on nuances in the Service Agreement(s)
  • Ensure the Servicing Division adheres to all compliance standards, including annual compliance processing, loan delinquency reporting to senior management, and internal/external audit facilitation.
  • Update the Servicing System and notify appropriate internal parties during the securitization process, ensuring communication, portfolio creation, and documentation are processed per procedures.
  • Support the growing Servicing business by setting up and maintaining accurate lender information within the Servicing System.
  • Communicate lender guide updates and highlight impactful changes to all servicing business units and ensure all necessary process are amened to meet the new requirements
  • Provide project support to Compliance team initiatives as directed by the manager.
  • Offer occasional backup support to other Servicing Operations teams as needed.
  • Ensure vendor management requirements are adhered to, aligning with organizational standards and regulatory compliance.
Education and Work Experience
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Recent or upcoming graduates may apply.
  • Work Experience: 1-3 years of Operations or Compliance experience preferred, but not required.
  • Competencies:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with commercial loan terminology preferred, but not required.
    • Ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, and agency guides and evaluate Northmarq procedures to ensure compliance.
    • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure; plan, set and adhere to time constraints.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Demonstrate premier customer service and communication to Lenders, Borrowers, internal NorthMarq staff, and Auditors.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Maintain a work product that reflects strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Strong recall and application of prior experience in independent problem resolution.
    • Demonstrates strong initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
