Your contribution!

As a Senior Specialist - Community and Government Relations, you will lead stakeholder engagement strategies supporting renewable energy projects. You will build trusted relationships with communities,ย governmentsย and partners to support project success and long-term positive impact.ย 

Your day-to-day!

  • Lead stakeholder engagement andย maintainย relationships with communities, governments and partnersย 

  • Organize andย facilitateย public meetings,ย workshopsย and consultationsย 

  • Develop communication materials and engagement strategiesย for renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, battery storage, and transmission infrastructure

  • Supportย permittingย processes and public affairs initiativesย 

  • Monitor stakeholder sentiment and manage issues proactivelyย 

  • Collaborate with project development, environmental, engineering, permitting, and construction teams to align engagement with project timelinesย 

  • Identifyย and support community partnerships and investment initiativesย 

  • Maintain stakeholder data and report on engagement outcomes

Your skills, our requirements!

  • 7+ years of experience in stakeholder relations, communityย engagementย or public affairsย 

  • Experience in renewable energy,ย infrastructureย or similar sectorsย 

  • Bachelor's degreeย in communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Environmental Studies, Community Development, or in a relevant fieldย 

  • Strong communication,ย presentationย and relationship-building skillsย 

  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environmentsย 

  • Project management and organizational skills

  • Knowledge of permitting and regulatory processesย 

  • Proficiencyย with Microsoft Office

Additional considerations!

  • The position could be based at the company's San Diego Office in California, or remote in the USA

  • This role requires approximately 25% travel.ย 

  • This position is a P4 level.ย

Pay Transparency Statement

Compensation for roles at Innergex varies based on a wide range of factors, including skill set, education, and relevant experience. We are committed to pay equity and take internal equity among current team members into account when determining any final offer.

To support pay transparency, theย hiring rangeย for this position isย $115,000-$140,000ย per year, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Your final base salary, if hired, will be determined by factors such as your skills, education, and experience, along with our commitment to internal equity.

Please note that it is not typical to hire at the top of the hiring range, as doing so limits opportunities for future salary growth. Innergex also offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
