The Compassionate Mental Care Center is seeking dedicated and passionate Mental Health Counselors to provide vital support to individuals and families in our community. As a full-time remote position based in Tampa, Florida, this role involves working closely with clients to facilitate their emotional and psychological well-being through structured therapy sessions in an outpatient setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments of individuals, adolescents, families, and groups, tailoring interventions to meet each client's unique needs.
  • Engage in thorough documentation and communication with other staff regarding assessment results, treatment plans, and interdisciplinary care strategies through regular meetings and patient rounds.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in addressing the diverse physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients, ensuring respectful and culturally competent care.
  • Provide case management services for assigned patients, collaborating with community and hospital professionals to facilitate the most comprehensive care possible.
  • Adhere to ethical standards with timely completion of documentation and follow-up on treatment protocols to maintain the integrity of client records.
  • Implement cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatment modalities that assist patients and their families in achieving their individualized service plans.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our counselors will work with a diverse range of clients that represent various backgrounds and mental health challenges, including individuals coping with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. We emphasize a holistic approach, fostering a therapeutic alliance to enhance engagement and empowerment in treatment. Your role is essential in not only addressing immediate needs but also contributing to the overall resilience and growth of our clients.

Qualifications
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • A commitment to work between 10 to 40 hours per week, allowing for flexible scheduling based on client needs.
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating proficiency in assessment and treatment planning.
Preferred Experience

Experience with a variety of therapeutic modalities is beneficial, particularly those emphasizing cognitive-behavioral techniques, family therapy, or trauma-informed care. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and insurance processes will also enhance your efficacy in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
