Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments and intake interviews to document client histories and inform treatment plans.
  • Evaluate clientsโ€™ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop tailored interventions and measurable recovery plans for individuals, families, and groups.
  • Facilitate interactive individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based interventions to encourage client engagement and progress.
  • Monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care and manage referrals.
  • Provide psychoeducation to family members and caregivers, equipping them with tools to support their loved ones effectively.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
  • A successful score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
