Job description

Position Summary:

Strategic Retail Partners is seeking a Senior EDI Analyst to own and advance our electronic data interchange operations. This is a hands-on, techno-functional role with a heavy emphasis on EDI mapping, responsible for the full EDI lifecycle, from trading partner onboarding and map development to day-to-day transaction monitoring and issue resolution. This position will work closely with our Oracle ERP environment, internal business teams, and external trading partners to keep integrations running and evolving.  This ideal candidate will be someone who is equally comfortable digging into mapping issues and explaining the business impact to a non-technical stakeholder.

About Us:

Driven by our mission to exceed the expectations of on-the-go consumers, Strategic Retail Partners has grown from a regional distributor of sunglasses founded in 1969 into an international leader of in-store merchandising solutions. We have built relationships with thousands of international, national, and regional retailers who rely on our customized solutions in more than 70,000+ locations across the U.S. and Canada. With warehouse facilities in several states and service representatives covering all regions of the country, there isn't a retail location we can't service.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Own EDI operations end-to-end: lead trading partner onboarding from initial requirements through go-live, build and maintain transaction maps, and resolve production issues
  • Support X12 transaction sets including, but not limited to: 850, 852, 856, 810, and 997 across wholesale and distribution channels
  • Manage EDI integrations on both the customer and vendor sides of the business
  • Manage AS2 and VAN-based connectivity; troubleshoot transmission failures and communication errors
  • Work with flat-file and custom format integrations in addition to standard X12
  • Administer SFTP folders for integrations as needed
  • Serve as the primary liaison between trading partners, internal operations/logistics teams, and IT
  • Interface with Oracle EBS (Order Management, Shipping, AP/AR) to ensure EDI transactions map correctly to system workflows
  • Administer and maintain our in-house EDI system (Bizlink) and our managed service third-party EDI providers (i.e. SPS Commerce)
  • Work with our Revenue Assurance team on 852 transactions and receipt of sales data for scan-based trading
  • Document processes, data flows, and trading partner requirements; maintain mapping specifications
  • Identify and drive improvements to reduce manual intervention and integration risk
  • Function as a general analyst for the Information Systems team as needed

Benefits and Perks:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Remote option or hybrid role in downtown Denver at our newly renovated offices with paid parking.
  • Company paid short term disability and life insurance
  • Paid holidays and floating holidays
  • Flexible PTO
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Tuition Reimbursement
  • Employees are paid weekly

We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, political affiliation, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, marital status, or veteran (U.S.) status. The company will provide accommodation to applicants, including those with disabilities, during the recruitment process, in accordance with applicable laws.

The gross salary range is $95,000 - $120,000 plus and excellent benefits package and bonus opportunity. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.

  • 6+ years of EDI experience in a production environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field — or equivalent work experience
  • Strong working knowledge of X12 standards (850, 852, 856, 810, 997 at minimum)
  • Hands-on EDI mapping experience is required — you must be able to build and maintain both basic and complex maps (e.g., 856 ASN) independently, without relying on a vendor to do it for you
  • Hands-on experience with AS2 and VAN-based EDI connectivity
  • Experience managing EDI relationships with both customers and vendors
  • Familiarity with flat-file and custom format integrations
  • Experience integrating EDI with ERP systems — Oracle EBS/R12 strongly preferred
  • Experience with Bizlink or similar in-house EDI platforms a plus; SPS Commerce experience a plus
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot raw EDI data without relying exclusively on translation software
  • SQL skills a plus — ability to assist in research and execution; knowledge of SQL loaders a plus
  • Experience with or genuine interest in leveraging AI tools to improve workflows, accelerate research, and solve problems more efficiently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are required — this role interfaces directly with trading partners and internal stakeholders, and you’ll be expected to manage those relationships professionally and independently
  • Self-directed — able to manage your own queue, prioritize, and escalate appropriately
