Location: Fort Collins, CO

Compensation: $58,000 - 63,000 Annually

About the Role:

We are hiring an Operations Manager to join our growing team. The Operations Manager oversees security operations across multiple client locations, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and assets. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating security teams, developing and implementing effective security strategies, and responding to security incidents and risks.


The Operations Manager supports efficient daily operations, promotes teamwork and accountability, and coordinates with internal departments to meet client and company expectations.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead Security Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned security teams, ensuring compliance with security policies, procedures, and regulations

Schedule Management: Organize and oversee staff scheduling and workflow to ensure adequate coverage for all assigned contracts

Operational Coverage: Provide operational support by covering vacant shifts when necessary, including overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage as needed

Administrative Oversight: Review schedules, timesheets, staffing records, and operational documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll processing

Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and support to security personnel, fostering a professional, accountable, and well-prepared team

SOP Development: Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assigned contracts in alignment with PST guidelines and best practices

Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and training of security personnel, emphasizing ongoing professional development and compliance

Client Relations: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients and security staff, serving as a primary point of contact for operational and security-related matters

Proactive Safety Measures: Promote a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors by conducting risk assessments and implementing preventive measures

Facility Inspections: Conduct regular walkthroughs, site inspections, and employee spot checks at assigned contracts to ensure compliance with company standards, identify security concerns, and address operational issues

Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between PST, clients, and onsite personnel to facilitate clear communication and efficient information sharing

Incident Response and Management: Oversee the response, documentation, and reporting of security incidents, coordinating with internal stakeholders and law enforcement when necessary


Who You Are:

A strong leader and communicator who can effectively manage teams, build accountability, and maintain positive client relationships

Calm under pressure with the ability to make sound decisions and resolve conflicts in fast-paced or high-stress situations

Knowledgeable in security operations, risk assessment practices, and incident response procedures

Experienced in supervising, training, and developing employees to maintain high performance and professionalism

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and operational needs

Committed to delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a professional presence with clients, employees, and the public

Comfortable using computers and security-related software systems for scheduling, reporting, and operational management


Note: We provide security coverage around the clock, every day of the year. Team flexibility is key, and consistent, dependable attendance is required under our attendance policy.


Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree in criminal justice, security management, or related field

Previous military or law enforcement experience

Project/program management experience in the safety/security field

5-7 years of security-related experience required


Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience supervising and developing employees required

High attention to detail and ability to manage resources and timelines while maintaining clear, consistent communication with all stakeholders

Proficient in the use of a computer and various software programs related to security operations


Required Qualifications:

21 years of age or older

Possess a valid driver's license

Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and MVR

Ability to obtain a security guard license

Ability to successfully complete company-approved firearms qualification requirements


Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Ability to use/maintain/operate issued firearm

Ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time

Must pass company basic hand-to-hand course

Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently throughout your shift

Ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted

Ability to wear a gear belt and ballistic uniform carrier for the entire duration of your assigned shift

Must be able to traverse the entire facility
