Job Description
The Billing Representative is responsible for the Accuracy, Quality, and Timeliness of certain billable services processed by the Company.
Reports to
- Billing Manager
- Billing Lead
Job Duties
- Billing/Invoicing Facilities, Home Care, and Hospices for Services Rendered.
- Interfacing with customers, patients, and company personnel to discuss, evaluate, process, and resolve billing adjustment requests, both independently and cooperatively with the Billing Team.
- Generating reports and completing assignments as assigned by the Billing Manager and Billing Lead.
Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Proficient in navigating and utilizing both web portals and online databases to manage and review billing data and patient records.
- Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment language and usage (Preferred).
Additional Information
- All applicants must pass a national criminal background check and not be listed on United States OIG Exclusion List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) to be considered for the position.
- Mandatory overtime during the monthly billing cycle (1st 10 business days of a given month).
- Remote position with initial in-office training and onboarding.
