SNF Billing Specialist (Remote)
Remote - Must be able to work Pacific Time.
$35-$47 per hour

NewGen Administrative Services partners with skilled nursing facilities to deliver compassionate, person-centered care. We're looking for a deeply experienced Billing Specialist II to own complex billing and collections across three facilities. This is the role for a SNF billing pro who knows California Medicaid cold and thrives working independently.
What you'll do:
  • Audit and manage billing accounts for three facilities with precision and efficiency
  • Communicate with Medicare, California Medicaid (Medi-Cal), HMOs, and other payors to ensure fast, accurate reimbursement
  • Proactively handle collections, set up payment plans, and resolve account discrepancies
  • Serve as the trusted billing expert for patients and families-via phone and virtual channels-answering questions and collecting balances with empathy

What you bring:
  • Must have: 5+ years of verifiable Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) billing experience
  • Must have: Deep working knowledge of California Medicaid (Medi-Cal), Medicare, and HMO billing rules
  • Must have: Proven ability to manage collections, resolve complex billing issues, and communicate sensitively with patients
  • Must have: Self-starter mindset and comfort working remotely with minimal supervision
