A Remote CMMS Coordinator works closely with on-site maintenance teams by managing work orders, scheduling preventive maintenance, and tracking asset performance through the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Regular communication is essential, often through video calls, emails, or collaborative platforms, to clarify task priorities and resolve any discrepancies. To thrive as a Remote CMMS Coordinator, you need expertise in maintenance management, data entry, and a solid understanding of asset management principles, often supported by experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and a relevant associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with common CMMS platforms like IBM Maximo, SAP PM, or eMaint, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, is typically required. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective remote communication capabilities are essential soft skills. These competencies are crucial for ensuring accurate maintenance records, optimizing asset performance, and supporting efficient maintenance operations from a remote setting.

What is a Remote CMMS Coordinator?
