Description:  
Synergy BIS is seeking an experienced Solution Architect in support of initiatives related to corporate growth, leveraging our expertise in digital transformation, modernization, and enterprise strategy. This role is highly visible, requiring an extensive background and operational experience in architectural engagements, familiarity with major industry products and frameworks, a deep comprehension of industry standards and implementation techniques. The position requires background in providing support for growth teams throughout the growth lifecycle from identification through capture and proposal development. Background is required in developing solutions for business opportunities, producing architectural artifacts and transitional roadmaps, supporting system design, prototyping, team mentoring and other leadership activities supporting client-facing teams in a dynamic client and business partner facing atmosphere. This position will be responsible for both envisioning and authoring technical solution content for competitive bids, serving as the primary technical writer and architect for major proposals and RFIs. 
  
Essential Functions & Duties:  
        
  • Collaborates on capture and proposal strategy with growth and delivery teams leveraging a thorough understanding of both Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and non-FAR based (e.g., OTAs, CSOs, SIBRs) contracting    
  • Engaging project teams, industry partners, and customers during business acquisition phases and for all business capture activities 
  • Collaborates on marketing and pre-sales collateral development
  • Lead and deliver technical and strategy presentations for existing and prospective customers
  • Lead the end-to-end technical writing of proposals, including creation of solution narratives, technical approaches, and written responses for RFPs, RFIs, and other government procurement opportunities. 
  • Applies a proven track record of portfolio assessments, target technology and IT landscape specifications and technical asset configuration to meet digital transformation objectives for prospective and existing clients  
  • Serves as one of the primary technological points of contact in the organization, responsible for guidance and overarching technical oversight, governance, architecture alignment and construction efforts providing support for activities such as contract growth  
  • Contributes to vendor interactions and the effectuation of products, services, platform(s) and other solutions for alliances and on program with customers 
  • Develops effective standards, leads technical resources, monitors and mitigates services delivery risk, quality, security, tools adoption, etc., and ensures success in the execution of these areas 
  • Participates in, and leads formal technology evaluations, proofs of concept and other R&D activity, providing client demonstrations and various solutioning and educational presentations to assert vetting, making recommendations and facilitating client buy-in 
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust may be necessary depending on contract requirements.
  
Skills, Qualifications and Certifications of Best Candidates:  
·        BS in information systems, data or computer science 
·        10+ years of technology leadership roles and participation in major COTS/custom integration projects and transformation programs at scale 
·        6+ years of experience in enterprise-scope architectural engagements, technical leadership at the program level, along with a demonstrated, successful track record of delivery 
·        Experience and accomplishments modernizing portfolios on de-facto cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), applying cloud native principles, serverless products via CSP managed services and platform-based application technologies in solution architecture, design, and system development 
·        Excellent oral communications, bringing thought, vision and strategy leadership with excellent presentation skills 
·        Experience with PaaS/SaaS platform architectures and services provisioning using Appian / Salesforce / PowerApps, etc. 
·        Experience developing solutions or crafting propositions for customers using Emerging Technologies such as Generative AI, VR, Blockchain or other.  
  
Required Qualifications and Experience:  
·        MS in information systems, data or computer science or equivalent experience 
·        15+ years of technology leadership roles and participation in major COTS/custom integration projects and transformation programs at scale 
·        10+ years of experience in enterprise-scope architectural engagements, technical leadership at the program level, along with a demonstrated, successful track record of delivery 
·        Experience supporting Federal Civilian, Homeland Security, or Defense agency contracts and success across various customer domains within the federal government.
·        Demonstrated excellence in technical writing for federal proposal responses, including the ability to clearly articulate complex solutions for both technical and non-technical evaluators.
  
Professional Skills and Qualifications:  
  • Strong verbal communication skills and prior experience briefing executives.
  • Solid understanding of technical support of business development activities 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information. 
  • Expertise in architectural domains for Business, Data, Application and Technology within one or more formal industry methodologies such as TOGAF, FEAF, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications and CRM tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) 
 
Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. 
A reasonable estimate of the anticipated pay range is: $175,000 – $225,000.
