Empowered Staffing is partnered with a rapidly expanding national risk management & insurance services firm specializing in captive insurance and reinsurance solutions. The company is currently seeking a Captive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration, compliance, governance, and formation activities for the company's captive insurance clients.

The Captive Operations Manager will support the management and delivery of captive insurance services across client accounts and internal operational functions. This role helps coordinate captive administration, financial reporting, governance support, compliance deadlines, and client service deliverables to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely execution of work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day oversight of captive management operations and client service delivery.
  • Coordinate compliance, governance, and administrative deliverables for captive insurance clients.
  • Support preparation of board materials, meeting agendas, minutes, and follow-up action items.
  • Monitor key deadlines for regulatory filings, renewals, and other recurring obligations.
  • Work with accountants, auditors, actuaries, attorneys, brokers, claims professionals, and other service providers.
  • Review operational processes and client files to help ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support underwriting and exposure tracking as needed.
  • Help develop, implement, and improve operational procedures, templates, and reporting tools.
  • Assist with staff training, mentoring, workflow coordination, and performance support for junior team members.
  • Contribute to special projects, process improvement initiatives, and business development support as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, risk management, insurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in captive insurance, insurance operations, accounting, risk management, or a related financial services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of captive insurance operations, governance, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
