Position Overview

Client is seeking a Salesforce Business Analyst to join a highly nimble team of professionals dedicated to delivering high-quality project outcomes through thoughtful planning and collaboration with a diverse range of users.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced Salesforce Business Analyst who can independently manage multiple projects, understand business needs, translate them into clear functional requirements, and identify practical and reliable technology solutions. The candidate should be comfortable working with diverse stakeholders, facilitating UAT and training, documenting processes, and supporting Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud environments while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and deadlines.

The Salesforce Technical Business Analyst will be a key member of the IT team, responsible for understanding, documenting, and mapping business processes to appropriate technology solutions. The ideal candidate will independently analyze business needs, translate them into formal requirements and functional specifications, and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to develop effective Salesforce solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience performing functional design and requirements work in Salesforce.
  • Experience translating business needs into formal requirements.
  • Experience creating functional and technical documentation.
  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Flows, Approval Processes, and other Salesforce automation capabilities.
  • Ability to create reports in Salesforce.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce data models and metadata.
  • Experience with relational databases and complex data structures.
  • Ability to create basic SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of end-user data manipulation tools and report creation tools.
  • Experience establishing, documenting, and maintaining procedures and processes.
  • Experience triaging bugs and enhancement tickets and helping diagnose system problems.
  • Knowledge of data security and encryption.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce reliable and accurate work.
  • Ability to keep up with IT advancements and evolving technologies.
  • Expertise in Salesforce software.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office products, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, and shared file systems.

Education Requirements

Candidates should meet one of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or a related field and two years of experience in systems analysis work; or
  • Associate’s degree and five years of experience in systems analysis work.
  • Certificates from recognized programs demonstrating mastery of relevant tools and techniques may substitute for up to six months of experience.
