Who we are looking for

The Lead Business Analyst, VP will act as the link between a client/business and IT teams to define and create interfaces between applications to solve business challenges and design the right solutions for our clients. In this position you will serve as subject matter expert in the analysis of business requirements and interface mapping specifications while utilizing our in house tool suite to produce an end state solution.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams and key stakeholders across the business to ensure that the delivered solutions match customer requirements. STT has Transformation targets that will allow us to promote a more strategic environment. Key focus themes are automation of manual processing,elimination of process waste, bespoke and fragmented processing as well as workload productivity.

What you will be responsible for

  • Identify compile, analyze and document interface mapping requirements and business requirements that accurately and thoroughly reflect business needs.
  • Take defined requirements and create interface mapping definitions within specific business tool sets. Thoroughly test and document mapping specifications, workflows and testing of the interface created.
  • Gathering of business/system requirements by facilitating user/client meetings, interviewing users, and researching and resolving issues.
  • Support ongoing project management- including progress monitoring, reporting and quality assurance throughout the project
  • Aware of Agile process is strongly recommended (RTC, story writing, Scrum and/or Kanban)
  • Document business requirements using clear, concise language consistent with the methodology framework.
  • Participate in special projects, e.g., conducting research, collecting and providing requested data, etc.
  • Provide daytoday leadership to the team performing business analysis and data mapping, including work allocation, quality oversight, issue resolution, and delivery accountability across client and platform initiatives
  • Support monthly production deployment activities to ensure stable and timely releases
  • Participate in adhoc coordination meetings with our global teams in China and India as required
  • Co-ordinate delivery across functional areas to deliver solutions, standardizing and driving product development where possible
  • Analyze and explore workflows and possible strategic scenarios; review and evaluate existing business model and future process or solution
  • Identify, solve or escalate potential issues and risks during development life cycles
  • Collaborate with our cross regional roles/teams to deliver consistent and timely results with high quality. Work closely with on-shore and off-shore team members including business analysts, product owners, developers and QA personnel

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 14+ years of experience as an interface mapping analyst or business analyst
  • Transaction management experience is required.
  • Experience with State Street Transformation tools ISVC, IDW and DEH is a big plus.
  • Working knowledge of Listed Securities, Bank Loans, OTC Derivatives, FX and Cash trade processing is a big plus.
  • Experience with Capital Markets (Equity, FI, Money Markets, Short Terms, Listed Derivatives, FX and Cash products) and Middle Office Servicing is required;
  • Experience with Middle Office and Back Office processing and additionally experience with Trade Order Mgmt Systems is beneficial
  • Individual must have extensive detailed SWIFT Market Practice knowledge of inbound and outbound SWIFT messages with detailed understanding of Financial Messaging: SWIFT (ISO 7775/15022/20022)
  • Good understanding of Industry standard messaging Formats : AVRO, JSON, XML, FPML, SWIFT MT950/MT940, MX - CAMT53
  • Experience or understanding of Kafka Messaging, MQ, SFTP is a big plus.
  • Good understanding of BPNM Diagrams (Workflows) is a big plus.
  • Ability to analyze and initiate new concepts and functionality in a changing environment and ability to obtain pertinent information by research, interaction with clients/users.
  • Demonstrated skill in the implementation phase of large and complex projects
  • Experience or understanding of SQL/database query skills is a big plus
  • STT(State Street) specific understanding of flows and processes is preferred
  • Proactive and target driven in achieving successful implementation of projects within defined timeline
  • Multiple tasking ability. Good time organizational skills to manage project priorities
  • Team player, detail oriented and self-motivated to drive work to proceed with minimal supervision

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $188,750 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
