Job Description

The System Analyst, Remote IT Operations serves as a critical operator ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of IT systems supporting NBCUniversalโ€™s live and remote productions. This role sits at the intersection of IT infrastructure and broadcast operations - driving seamless technology delivery in high-pressure, real-time environments.

You will play a key role in enabling production teams to execute flawlessly by delivering secure, resilient, and efficient IT solutions across remote sites. Success in this role requires strong technical expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to troubleshoot and adapt quickly during live events.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous uptime and performance of IT systems supporting live remote productions, minimizing disruption during high-visibility events
  • Deliver hands-on IT support across endpoints, networking, and remote infrastructure in fast-paced production environments
  • Manage deployment, configuration, and lifecycle of remote infrastructure kits, ensuring readiness and consistency across events
  • Maintain and evolve network connectivity (LAN/WAN) documentation and standards for remote operations
  • Coordinate logistics including inventory tracking, scheduling, and deployment planning via remote operations calendars
  • Act as a bridge between IT, Broadcast Engineering, Digital, and Security teams, supporting the convergence of technologies
  • Partner with external vendors to ensure delivery, performance, and issue resolution for hardware, software, and communications systems
  • Proactively identify and implement process improvements and technology enhancements to increase operational efficiency and reliability
  • Support procurement and lifecycle management of IT assets for remote production environments
  • Travel to remote production sites to provide on-the-ground IT support during live events
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
  • Contribute to additional projects and assignments as required
Qualifications

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in IT operations supporting live events, broadcast, or remote environments
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure (routers, switches, LAN/WAN) and endpoint systems
  • Proven ability to operate in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Demonstrated project and operational management skills, including managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with vendors and managing external partnerships
  • Familiarity with IT/broadcast convergence and emerging technologies
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to operational detail
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and non-traditional hours as needed.
  • Ability to travel extensively in support of remote events.
