Job Summary

The Technical Product Specialist PAT Bio is a critical commercial support role responsible for driving growth of Nova Biomedicals BioProfile FAST CDV Analyzer across North America. This position works in close partnership with North American Key Account Managers (KAMs) to develop new opportunities, manage complex sales processes, and ensure a high-quality customer journey from initial engagement through evaluation and close.

The ideal candidate combines strong scientific expertise with hands-on experience in automated cell counting technologies and excels in cross-functional collaboration, technical selling, and opportunity management.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical and commercial specialist for the BioProfile FAST CDV Analyzer across North America

  • Partner closely with North American Key Account Managers to grow the FAST CDV business

  • Proactively prospect, identify, and develop new FAST CDV leads and sales opportunities

  • Own and manage the sales process and customer journey for all FAST CDV opportunities, from qualification through close

  • Develop a deep understanding of the U.S. key account landscape and drive consistent FAST CDV messaging across territories

  • Coordinate closely with Field Applications to ensure successful product demonstrations, evaluations, and customer trials

  • Lead technical sales presentations and deliver compelling, value-based messaging to scientific and commercial stakeholders

  • Manage complex sales cycles, including objection handling and competitive positioning

  • Generate quotations and support opportunity negotiation in collaboration with KAMs

  • Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and customer records within the CRM system

  • Manage and maintain FAST CDV demonstration and evaluation equipment

  • Act as a central FAST CDV resource for sales, applications, and internal stakeholders

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a scientific discipline (biology, biotechnology, biochemistry, chemistry, or related field required; advanced degree preferred)

  • Strong scientific background with hands-on experience in automated cell counting systems

  • Experience selling, supporting, or using trypan blue dyebased cell counting technologies

  • Prior experience with Beckman Coulter ViCell XR, ViCell BLU, or similar automated cell counters strongly preferred

  • Experience supporting or managing complex sales processes within biotechnology or biopharmaceutical markets preferred

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong presentation, communication, and technical demonstration abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities across multiple territories simultaneously

  • Proven ability to navigate complex customer organizations and sales objections

  • Strong collaboration skills and a team-first mindset

  • Comfortable working alongside and supporting multiple Key Account Managers (approximately nine)

  • Proficiency with CRM tools and standard business software

  • Willingness to travel as required to support customer engagements and evaluations

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions for this role include:

Ability to travel as required (including air and ground transportation).
Valid drivers license and ability to safely operate a motor vehicle as needed for job responsibilities.
Ability to store, transport materials, samples, or demonstration equipment (up to ~25 pounds).
Ability to stand and engage with customers for extended periods.
Ability to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., customer sites, laboratories, offices).

Targeted Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000/year, variable included in pay
