Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group is seeking a Field Engineer for our client who is headquartered in Louisville, KY. The Field Service Engineer will be a part of their technical support group,
responsible for preventive maintenance as well as monitoring and responding to alert conditions, in accordance with our service agreements and policies.
Field Service Engineers perform remote diagnostics and interface directly with customers to resolve a variety of technical problems impacting mission-critical recording processes.
This person will also work in their corporate office with the Field Engineering Manager, doing some IT work, building servers, configuring firewalls, etc.
Additional responsibilities include site installations, follow-up training with the customer, general system support,

Responsibilities:

• As part of a technical support group, responsible for preventive maintenance as well as monitoring and responding to alert conditions
• Perform remote diagnostics and interface directly with customers to resolve a variety of technical problems impacting mission-critical recording processes
• Site installations, follow-up training with the customer, general system support, and ongoing end-user training
Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Experience in Call/911 Recorder or VoIP technologies preferred
• IT troubleshooting experience preferred
• Applicable experience in more than 1 of the following areas: Windows Server, Unix, Linux, Network Monitoring,
Network Management Systems, Telephony, VoIP, Radio Systems, Network/Telephony cabling
• Must be able to safely list 50 pounds to chest level and with assistance, install recorder servers in server racks
• CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification, OR the ability to obtain within 90-days of employment
