Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
  • Requires five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in multiple IT areas and five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant technology network operations experience
  • Intermediate-level hands on routing and switching architecture and engineering capabilities in enterprise network architecture.

The Solution Engineer ensures networks are built with best practices, reusability, and an understanding of how to use technology to best meet business needs. This role mirrors Client’s commitment to provide support to ensure projects are designed and built to support the Enterprise Architecture Team.

The Solution Engineer demonstrates the ability to think and operate on both the strategic and tactical levels (e.g., He/she is able to devise a short-term solution that complements the longer-term goals).

He/she serves as a Change Agent who effectively challenges the status quo and helps the team embrace improved methods and newer technologies.

He/she will be responsible for meeting and presenting to the internal teams to gain approval and advice from all areas of Network Infrastructure Services to ensure sustainable networks are created.

Preferred

  • Well-grounded in state-of-the-art principles of architectural modeling, service-oriented architecture, enterprise information management and software design and development
  • Network solutioning (switches, WAPs, etc.) for two or more large-scale, heterogeneous IT programs.
  • Demonstrated success at developing solutions that solve business problems
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of an SOA and Services in an enterprise setting
