Job description

We are excited to speak to you about this opportunity. If you are interested in joining our growing team, please apply to this link directly.
Who we are
Aquila, a group within Constellation Software Inc., one of North America's largest and most respected software companies, invests in category-defining B2B and B2G software businesses globally, providing long-term support and strategic guidance. Emphasys Software has been part of Aquila since 2008.
Operating across five specialized divisions, Emphasys provides mission-critical software that modernizes and streamlines complex processes for housing authorities, lenders, and government agencies in nearly every state. Through both products and services, Emphasys helps house roughly half of the families most in need in the country.
At Emphasys HFA (Housing Finance Agency), a division of Emphasys, we build and support the only end-to-end financial software in the U.S. dedicated to affordable housing. As the largest full-service provider in this space, we enable State Housing Finance Agencies and other public organizations to administer programs that help families access affordable homeownership or rental housing. Our solutions power the financial backbone that processes funding, manages compliance, and ensures every dollar of support is tracked and maximized.
Who we need
Reporting to the VP of Operations, we are hiring a Technical Implementation Specialist to join our team and lead end-to-end software implementations for clients in the single-family lending space. As our new Implementation Specialist you will act as the bridge between customers, Product, Development, IT, and Operations teams to ensure implementations are delivered successfully, align with performance and security standards, and are adopted effectively through training, change management, and ongoing support. You will manage multiple implementations at various stages, guiding clients through migrations, integrations, upgrades, and process changes while proactively communicating timelines, risks, progress, and solutions throughout the lifecycle of each project.
This is a full-time, fully remote position within the US working Eastern Standard hours.
What's in it for you
Purpose-driven impact. Your work will directly support Housing Finance Agency (HFA) clients by leading successful software implementations that power critical housing finance and loan servicing operations across the United States. You will guide clients through complex migrations, integrations, and system upgrades while ensuring solutions are delivered on time, meet business requirements, and are adopted effectively through training, change management, and ongoing support.
Shape and build a growing function. As the first hire within a new Professional Services and implementation function, you will help define how implementations are delivered moving forward. This is not a traditional project management role focused only on coordination and timelines. You will contribute to API and integration discussions, data migration and conversion planning, technical solutioning, and implementation strategy while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, IT, Operations, and Client Services teams.
Career growth and organizational visibility. You will work directly with leadership and cross-functional teams across the organization while building deep expertise in mortgage lending, loan servicing, and housing finance systems. As the Professional Services function grows, this role offers a strong path into senior leadership opportunities across Professional Services, Product Management, Client Services, and Operations
As our new Technical Implementation Specialist, you will:
  • Lead end-to-end software implementations. You will plan, manage, and execute implementations, migrations, integrations, and system upgrades for Emphasys software platforms within the single-family lending space. You will ensure implementations are delivered on time, aligned with business requirements, meet performance and security standards, and are adopted successfully through training, change management, and ongoing support.
  • Own implementation planning, discovery, and project execution. You will lead discovery conversations, gather implementation requirements, and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables across multiple client implementations. You will proactively identify risks, troubleshoot implementation challenges, and escalate issues when required to keep projects moving forward successfully.
  • Act as the bridge between clients and technical teams. You will serve as the primary point of contact for implementation stakeholders, guiding clients through implementation phases including data migration, integrations, APIs, configuration, testing, and go-live activities. You will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, IT, Operations, and Client Services teams to align technical solutions with client needs and business goals.
  • Drive technical implementation solutioning. This is not a traditional project management role focused only on coordination and timelines. You will participate in technical discussions related to APIs, integrations, workflows, authentication, system functionality, and implementation roadmaps while helping clients understand capabilities, limitations, and solution options.
  • Lead communication, training, and stakeholder alignment. You will facilitate implementation meetings, provide proactive status updates, manage expectations, and translate technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language for technical and non-technical audiences. You will support client onboarding, training, and adoption while building trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strengthen implementation standards and operational readiness. You will contribute to implementation documentation, setup guides, training materials, and process improvements that support scalability, knowledge transfer, operational consistency, and long-term client success.
  • Help shape a growing Professional Services function. As an early member of a growing implementation team, you will contribute ideas, improve delivery processes, and help define how implementations are managed and scaled moving forward.

You bring:
  • The implementation experience. You have experience leading or supporting enterprise software implementations, migrations, integrations, or system upgrades in a client-facing environment. You understand how to manage multiple implementation projects simultaneously while balancing timelines, stakeholder expectations, business requirements, and user adoption. Experience within mortgage lending, loan origination, servicing, housing finance, or other financial systems environments is strongly preferred, including exposure to loan servicing, underwriting, or mortgage platforms and compliance-heavy environments.
  • The technical skills. You are comfortable working through technical implementation discussions related to APIs, SSO, integrations, data migration, workflows, authentication, and system configuration. You understand implementation lifecycles and can collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to troubleshoot issues, identify solutions, and guide clients through complex technical and operational changes. You can confidently communicate technical concepts with both clients and internal teams while supporting onboarding, configuration, testing, training, and go-live activities.
  • The project planning and analytical mindset. You have experience managing implementation plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables while proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and gaps. You are detail-oriented, organized, and able to think critically through implementation challenges while balancing technical requirements with business needs.
  • The interpersonal and communication skills. You are a proactive communicator who builds trusted relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders. You are comfortable leading conversations, facilitating meetings, and translating technical concepts into clear, user-friendly language for technical and non-technical audiences alike. You know when to pick up the phone, navigate challenges collaboratively, and maintain confidence and transparency throughout a project lifecycle.
  • The flexibility and ownership. You thrive in a dynamic, client-facing environment where priorities shift and no two implementations are identical. You are comfortable working independently, managing multiple clients and projects at once, and taking ownership of outcomes. You are flexible to support implementation activities outside standard business hours as needed and open to occasional travel for client implementations and relationship management activities, estimated at approximately 10-20%.
