Job Purpose:

The Sherpa Patient Care Consultant is the first point of contact for our clients' prospective patients and critical to support the growth of the health provider's patient pipeline. Part patient concierge, part provider sales, the Sherpa provides information and support to help patients determine if the service or procedure and ultimately the provider is the right one for them.

The Sherpa is responsible to manage inbound calls, chats, SMS texts, emails and web inquiries from interested patients generated through marketing campaigns. Using Care Sherpa's proprietary training, tools and technology, the Sherpa's primary goal is to educate, support and efficiently follow-up with patients on their care journey and ensure an exceptional experience.

Qualifications:
  • LOVE helping and building relationships with people from all walks of life.
  • Preferred prior experience as a patient or caregiver in one of the following service areas: Cardiovascular, Cosmetic Surgery, Bariatric or Weight Management, Fertility Services, Home Health, Hospice, Orthopedic or Joint Replacement, Oncology.
  • Preferred prior experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare patient service, or social work.
  • Utilizes knowledge, critical thinking, and dialogue skills to deliver meaningful patient experiences that result in high satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Utilizes appropriate techniques to gain consistent access and build strong relationships with Care Sherpa customers and office staff over the telephone and through video interaction.
  • Superior communication skills with a professional demeanor, clear voice articulation, active listening, and ability to communicate with individuals from a wide variety of socioeconomic and educational backgrounds.
  • Excellent computer skills including strong typing ability, multi-tasking such as talking and typing simultaneously.
  • CRM experience or other database data entry experience preferred.
Technical Requirements: Internet
  • Uninterrupted high-speed internet with consistent connection.
Environmental Requirements:
  • 100% work from home remote position.
  • Private, quiet and distraction-free environment to take and make patient phone calls.
Schedule & Hours:
  • Full-Time position - 32-40 hours per week
  • Primarily Monday through Friday during client's business day, the schedule can be somewhat flexible to allow each Sherpa to meet the needs of their client and their patients.
