REMOTE eLearning Developer - Advanced Storyline Required

CapeTalent isn’t your average staffing agency. We connect AI-forward Learning & Development professionals with Fortune 100 companies who are shaping the future.

1099 or C2C Contract Details (No W2)

This role is structured for experienced freelancers and independent contractors. W2 employment is not available for this engagement.

  • 6-month contract (strong likelihood of extension)
  • 100% Remote (U.S. or Canadian candidates only)
  • Start date: May 2026
  • 40 hours per week
  • $55-$65/hour (C2C or 1099), based on experience
  • Standard U.S. business hours (EST/CST/MST/PST)
  • Heavy Slack collaboration
  • Laptop provided
  • Portfolio REQUIRED for consideration

About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior eLearning Developer who brings advanced technical skill and a production-first mindset to every build. In this role, you’ll develop tax form simulations, gamified experiences, and microlearning — all within a complex, fast-moving FinTech environment serving a global learner audience. The work spans Articulate 360 (Storyline), Rise, Synthesia, 7Taps and Generative AI tools, with content that must hold up technically and visually at enterprise scale. You’ll move fast, manage multiple projects at once, and deliver high-quality work that goes well beyond standard builds — customizing layouts and media to meet brand standards and optimize for learner flow.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and develop advanced interactive eLearning and gamification mechanics in Articulate Storyline including tax form simulations and custom interactions using JavaScript.
  • Customize layouts, media, and interactions for brand alignment and optimal learner flow — no out-of-the-box builds.
  • Create training videos in Synthesia, writing AI-generated narration scripts and integrating video seamlessly into Storyline courses and 7Taps microlearning modules.
  • Design and publish microlearning lessons in 7Taps that are engaging, bite-sized, and built for a global audience.
  • Build content that is durable and globally scalable from the start — designed to work across a full enterprise product suite and diverse learner needs.
  • Publish and test all content within the Docebo LMS, ensuring SCORM compliance, completion tracking, and QA rigor.
  • Leverage Generative AI tools (Gemini, Notebook LM) to accelerate storyboard development, generate scenario examples, and create narration scripts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with SMEs, Product Design, and the DoceboOps team to develop and launch learning plans.
  • Maintain, update, and enhance courses across multiple learning modalities as content evolves.
  • Track and manage development progress daily in Jira within an agile workflow.

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on eLearning development experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates advanced technical execution — not just tool proficiency.
  • Expert Articulate Storyline (Articulate 360) skills — builds confidently and quickly, including complex triggers, variables, and custom JavaScript for interactivity and gamification.
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Cloud proficiency: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, and Audition — used to produce and integrate high-end multimedia assets, not just make edits.
  • Proven experience with Synthesia and 7Taps for video and microlearning production.
  • Hands-on Docebo experience with strong working knowledge of SCORM and LMS publishing standards.
  • Active use of Generative AI tools in real production workflows — storyboarding, scenario creation, narration scripting.
  • Experience working in agile environments with Jira or similar project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, adapt quickly to shifting priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines with minimal oversight.

What Sets You Apart

  • Build things at a high level — technically precise, visually polished, and production-ready.
  • Know what it takes to build durable content for a global enterprise audience — and design for it from the start.
  • Use AI to work faster and smarter, not as a shortcut.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments where quality and speed both matter.
  • Have a portfolio that speaks for itself.

We’re looking for someone who can:
Build next-generation learning experiences — not just functional ones.
Execute at a high level across authoring, multimedia, and AI-accelerated production.
Deliver content that performs at enterprise scale, globally.
