Position Title:

Manager Product Development

Job Description:

Manage and guide design team by fostering a collaborative and safe working environment. Oversee projects from concept to solution delivery, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and industry standards. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex systems including Hardware, Firmware, and software solutions. Identify and implement process improvements to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability of complex products. Evaluate reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production. Communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to understand technical requirements and provide technical direction to other team members. Ensure effective execution of corporate objectives, including hiring, training, coaching and development of employees to maximize performance, promote career growth and build a high performing team. Manage project budgets to ensure labor, outside services, and capital expenditure are met along with other financial and operational commitments. Ensure support and maintenance of existing product portfolio. Position is fixed location based in South Carolina office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed one (1) day per week.

Job Requirements:

Requires a Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience in product development.

Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Developing, designing, validating, testing, and final release of electrical products

  • Product development involving high-accuracy analog circuits, digital design including signal integrity, and power management

  • High-volume, low-cost designs with the highest standards for quality and reliability

  • CAD tools including Cadence for circuit design, simulation and layout

  • Ensuring that the design complies with regulatory certification requirements, including ANSI, FCC and UL

Must have three (3) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

  • Creating and maintaining development schedules, including developing design specifications from customer requirements and communicating requirements effectively to the design teams

Will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) plus seven (7) years of experience in product development in lieu of Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience
