Job description

FINNess Advisors is a female-founded outsourced accounting and finance firm built specifically for high-growth consumer brands. We partner with over 10 rapidly scaling companies across the CPG, retail, and e-commerce space, helping founders build investor-ready financials, establish scalable accounting operations, and create the financial infrastructure needed to support real growth.

At FINNess Advisors, we operate as true strategic partners to our clients — not just accountants. Our team works side-by-side with founders and leadership teams to bring clarity, structure, and operational insight to fast-moving businesses navigating rapid scale.

We’re growing quickly and looking for an Accounting Manager who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys leading both people and processes, and wants exposure to multiple exciting consumer brands rather than being siloed into one business.

This is a highly visible opportunity to join a growing firm where you can make a direct impact while continuing to advance your career long term.

About the Role

We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations across a portfolio of high-growth consumer brand clients while helping lead and mentor members of the accounting team.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical accounting expertise with leadership ability, operational thinking, and a client-service mindset. You’ll work directly with founders, operators, and internal team members to ensure financial accuracy, improve processes, and build scalable systems that support continued growth.

The ideal candidate has deep NetSuite experience, extensive GAAP accounting knowledge, and a strong background within CPG, retail, consumer products, or e-commerce environments.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage accounting operations across multiple consumer brand clients
  • Review and oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Ensure accuracy of financial statements and GAAP compliance
  • Lead client communications and serve as a trusted accounting advisor
  • Manage and mentor junior accountants and team members
  • Improve accounting workflows, reporting processes, and operational efficiencies
  • Oversee inventory accounting, reconciliations, and cost tracking
  • Review revenue recognition across multiple channels including Shopify, Amazon, wholesale, retail, and DTC
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow visibility, and financial reporting requests
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, logistics, and supply chain teams
  • Assist with audits, investor reporting, and strategic accounting initiatives
  • Help build scalable infrastructure as both clients and the firm continue to grow
What We’re Looking For
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior management or team leadership experience preferred
  • Strong background in CPG, consumer goods, retail, or e-commerce accounting
  • Extensive NetSuite experience required
  • Extensive GAAP accounting experience required
  • Experience with inventory accounting and multi-channel revenue environments
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, reconciliations, lookups, and reporting analysis
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience working within outsourced accounting, advisory, or client-service environments strongly preferred
  • Self-starter mindset with strong accountability and attention to detail
  • CPA is a plus but not required
Why Join FINNess Advisors?
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility and autonomy
  • Opportunity to work with over 10 exciting and rapidly growing consumer brands
  • Female-founded leadership team with an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture
  • High visibility and direct exposure to founders and leadership teams
  • Meaningful ownership and the ability to make a real impact
  • Clear opportunity for long-term growth as the firm continues scaling
  • Collaborative, supportive, and sharp team environment
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base salary: $90,000–$120,000 DOE
  • Fully remote role
  • Flexible work environment
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-growth brands
  • Opportunity to help shape processes and contribute to the future growth of the firm
