We are looking for a dedicated Spanish Bilingual Academic Advising specialist to support learners in a remote setting as they move through their educational programs with confidence and clarity. This contract position with the potential for a permanent role focuses on guiding employees through academic planning, ongoing progress support, and resource coordination while building strong relationships with employer and education partners. The ideal candidate brings a student-centered approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to encourage adult learners as they work toward meaningful academic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Guide employees as they enter and progress through their selected education pathways, working closely with advising partners to create a seamless experience.

• Maintain consistent outreach throughout each learner’s academic journey using phone, email, and other communication channels to provide timely support.

• Coach participants on setting realistic academic objectives, improving study practices, and organizing their schedules to stay productive.

• Identify academic concerns early and connect learners with tutoring, support services, or other helpful institutional resources.

• Review performance trends, discuss progress with employees, and offer practical feedback to strengthen outcomes.

• Track deadlines, milestones, and program expectations, sending proactive reminders to help learners remain on schedule.

• Lead recurring check-ins to evaluate progress, address barriers, and recognize important accomplishments along the way.

• Create and present educational materials or sessions focused on academic success strategies, study techniques, and time management.

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with employees, employer representatives, and academic institutions to support long-term success.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; a master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in academic advising, academic coaching, higher education support, or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated success supporting adult learners or other non-traditional student populations is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to conduct business conversations with attention to detail.

• Ability to build trust, listen actively, and provide individualized guidance with empathy and a thoughtful approach.

• Comfort working with computer-based systems and customer support tools, including CRM platforms and related software.
