Job description

Senior Project Management Specialist

Boeing's Enterprise Services Technology & Systems (ESTS) organization is currently seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist to join our team in any of the following Boeing sites: Arlington, VA; Dallas, TX; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; Miami, FL; North Charleston, SC or Seattle, WA.

The selected specialist will provide Project Management support and hands-on delivery to the Technology & Systems team. This role is responsible for managing multiple technology projects (of moderate to high complexity and risk), translating strategic objectives into executable plans, driving stakeholder alignment and enabling measurable adoption of standardized processes and technologies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead all phases of highly complex projects and programs from initiation to closeout, directing cross functional teams across multiple organizations

  • Develop, maintain, integrate and analyze program level plans and schedules in accordance with project management industry standards and Boeing PMBP practices

  • Design and execute the integration strategy for plans, schedules, change and baseline management across the program lifecycle

  • Serve as primary project contact to establish stakeholder requirements, define scope, and align objectives across internal and external stakeholders; obtain approvals and authorize resource commitments

  • Identify Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO); perform high level studies/analyses (trend, variance, impact); build and refine the business case; develop and implement mitigation and contingency plans

  • Provide program governance (i.e status briefings, executive reports, decision logs, change control, and escalation)

  • Prepare white papers and executive presentations to communicate program status, metrics and recommendations

  • Ensure project control systems are in place and integrate data for decision makers (schedules, cost/scope tracking, metrics, and reporting)

  • Consult on and recommend best practice tools, processes, techniques for integrated planning, scheduling and baseline/change management

  • Coordinate contractual and strategic commitments with internal and external partners to meet program objectives

  • Lead or mentor others (formally or informally) and contribute to continuous process improvement and lessons learned capture

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to foster collaboration and support business goals

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework or Agile Methodologies

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Experience with program and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, Smartsheet, Wrike or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in IT program delivery

  • Experience in managing projects for facilities or supply chain organizations
