Job description

Amazon's Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team creates the spaces that inspire Amazonians to make history. We provide real estate expertise, space planning, design and construction, and facility maintenance across Amazon's corporate office portfolio in more than 60 cities globally.
The MAC (Move, Add, Changes) Program Area Manager serves as the primary face of GREF to business leaders during office relocations, owning the complete employee move experience from planning through execution. You'll build strategic partnerships with organizational space owners, lead change management communications, and make high-judgment decisions balancing employee needs with space constraints

This role requires direct accountability for project phasing, relocation outcomes, vendor performance, budget management, and stakeholder satisfaction.
You'll bridge space planning decisions with flawless execution, serving as the single point of contact for all relocation questions.
This role is ideal for candidates with extensive migration experience planning, who excel at project management, consultative business partnership, thrive in ambiguous situations requiring judgment calls, and build trust with senior stakeholders through transparent communication and reliable execution.
Key job responsibilities
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as primary GREF representative to business leaders during relocations, building consultative partnerships and trust
- Lead change management and communication strategies across organizations, ensuring smooth employee transitions
- Manage complex escalations requiring business judgment and cross-functional coordination
- Partner with Space Planning, Business Partnership teams, departmental coordinators, and facilities partners
End-to-End Relocation Project Management
- Own complete relocation lifecycle including employee roster generation, workspace assignments, and timeline coordination
- Ensure flawless vendor execution through clear direction, performance monitoring, and accountability
- Translate space allocation decisions into executable move plans with departmental coordinators
Workspace Accommodation Management
- Make high-judgment decisions on workspace assignments for accessibility and special needs
- Balance employee requirements, site constraints, and space allocations
- Deliver accommodation recommendations within 2 business days with adjustment opportunities
Operational Excellence
- Manage area budget, resource allocation, and cost optimization with Finance partners
- Monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain governance frameworks ensuring program compliance and quality standards
