RISE is a non-profit organization that specializes in home and community-based support services for children and adults with developmental and other disabilities, children with mental health challenges, and aging adults.

What would YOU do in this role?

RISE is currently seeking a creative and results-oriented Residential Director to oversee several 24-hour group programs between Salem and Eugene areas. Our programs are in Marion, Polk, Lane counties in Oregon and this position can office out of our Salem / Eugene office. You would supervise our Assistant Directors in effectively supporting the individuals we serve and those that serve them.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Lead through our RISE Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Demonstrate respect, promote choice, maintain confidentiality, and promote the rights of people receiving support
  • Understand RISE, State, and Federal policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Oversee the employment life cycle of Assistant Directors
  • Mentor Assistant Directors
  • Provide support in high-level concerns and work with HR as needed to determine plans of action
  • Lead by example
  • Network with funding sources and other community partners
  • Assist in the development of and implement strategic plans in the Residential Department
  • Review and approve Licensing Plan of Improvement documents
  • Ensure that compliance is maintained
  • Lead the development of new program setup
  • Be present in all programs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field or 4 years of supervisory experience in lieu
  • 2 years of experience working in a group home setting required 
  • 2 years of experience in department management and staff supervision required.
  • Knowledge of leadership practices, budgetary oversight, and resource allocation
  • Required to pass Oregon Intervention Systems, CPR, and First Aid classes while employed and complete renewals
  • Weekly travel to various programs and offices in assigned locations. Occasional overnight travel
  • Ability to pass and maintain an approved criminal background check
  • Have and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
