Quality Manager II at DICKEY-john
Supports the Quality Manager in improving product, process, and overall quality by driving cross-functional initiatives, implementing reliability improvements, and leading corrective actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
What Will You Do?
  • Review and analyze warranty return and internal defects, and assign actions as needed to correct and prevent causes of failure.
  • Assist root cause analysis and effective corrective action implementation.
  • Interface with customers to resolve quality defects and report results of corrective action activities.
  • Conduct internal ISO 9001 and ISO IEC 80079-34 audits.
  • Participate in lean initiatives in both production and support areas.
  • Work with other engineering personnel to assure design requirements are producible and meet product quality and reliability goals.
  • Conduct supplier audits and assist with supplier corrective actions.
  • Perform statistical analysis, identify trends, and implement changes related to defects in supplier and manufacturing processes, returned goods, and customer feedback.
  • Assemble customer change request information packages for customers, and insure requested supporting information is sufficient to support and process the change with the customer.
  • Identify, control, and dispose of nonconforming materials.
  • Assist manufacturing engineering in controlling special processes such as soldering.
  • Approve stop orders, deviations, and rework orders.
  • Review and approve Engineering Change Orders.
  • Complete other assignments as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, Technology, or a related science is required.
Experience
Two years of experience as a Quality Engineer I, four years of experience as a Quality Assurance Technician III, four years of experience as a Quality Calibration Technician III, or five years of experience engineering in a manufacturing environment with a formal Quality Management System is required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is typically performed in a standard office setting working at a desk or table on a level surface. Air quality and noise levels are within normal limits. Eye protection is usually not required. Under normal conditions, exposure to excessive noise, dust, humidity, and fumes is rare. Individual may be required to work more hours than normally expected during a regular workweek depending on workload and deadline requirements.
Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel
Minimal travel is expected for this position.

Pay and Benefits: Competitive market salary from $80,000 - $93,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company. Benefits include:
