What does a typical workday look like for a Relay Service Operator?

A typical day for a Relay Service Operator involves answering calls from individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have speech disabilities, and relaying messages between them and standard phone users. Operators work with specialized telecommunications equipment to ensure messages are conveyed accurately and confidentially. This role may require sitting for extended periods, maintaining focus during repetitive tasks, and handling a high volume of consecutive calls.
