About the Role

GRIP is Global Relay's thought leadership platform covering regulatory, legal, and compliance topics across global markets. We are seeking an Commissioning Editor - Legal & Regulatory Content to help expand our presence across the U.S. and broader Americas by building and managing a high-quality network of contributors.

In this role, you willย identify, engage, and commission content from lawyers, law firm partners, compliance professionals, and regulatory experts. You'll play a critical role in shaping GRIP's editorial voice-ensuring we consistently deliver insightful, timely, and authoritative content to a sophisticated professional audience.

This is not a passive editorial role. You will be expected toย proactively source contributors, build relationships with senior subject matter experts, and persuade busy professionals to share their expertise.

What You'll Do

Build & Own Contributor Network

  • Identify and develop relationships with lawyers, law firm professionals, compliance leaders, and regulatory experts across financial services, healthcare, and other regulated industries
  • Proactively outreach to and engage senior subject matter experts, positioning GRIP as a trusted platform for publishing thought leadership
  • Build and maintain a repeatable pipeline of high-quality contributors across priority topics and regions

Commission High-Impact Content

  • Commission timely, insightful, and commercially relevant content aligned to key regulatory developments and audience needs
  • Guide contributors from idea through publication-shaping topics, refining narratives, and ensuring clarity and relevance
  • Ensure all content meets GRIP's editorial, legal, and brand standards

Editorial Strategy & Market Insight

  • Stay ahead of developments across the legal, regulatory, and compliance landscape in the U.S. and globally
  • Identify emerging trends, breaking topics, and gaps in coverage, and commission content accordingly
  • Contribute to the ongoing evolution of GRIP's editorial strategy, ensuring relevance to a global compliance audience

Content Quality & Review

  • Review, edit, and qualify submissions for accuracy, insight, and professional value
  • Apply sound editorial and legal judgment, partnering with internal legal teams where required
  • Ensure content resonates with a senior, specialist audience (legal, compliance, risk professionals)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with editorial, marketing, and product teams across New York, London, and Stockholm
  • Support the development of multimedia content, including podcasts and virtual events
  • Represent GRIP at industry events, conferences, and client engagements

ย What We're Looking For

  • 3-5+ years of experience in commissioning, legal publishing, or regulatory/compliance content
  • Experience working with or adjacent to lawyers, law firms, or compliance professionals
  • Proven ability to source, engage, and manage senior subject matter experts
  • Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory landscape, particularly within financial services or other regulated industries
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex legal or regulatory topics into compelling content
  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage senior, high-profile contributors
  • Strong editorial judgment, attention to detail, and a high standard for content quality
  • Highly proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in an outbound, relationship-driven role
