Job description

Direct Counsel is seeking a Global Regulatory Enforcement Associate Attorney (Junior-Level) to join a national law firm in New York.

Overview
Direct Counsel is recruiting a junior associate attorney to join the Global Regulatory Enforcement Group. Candidates will assist with litigation, government investigations, and SEC enforcement matters. Federal clerkship or prior government/prosecutorial experience is a plus. Candidates with a CPA license are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support litigation and regulatory enforcement matters, including SEC investigations.

  • Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and assist with case management.

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on client matters.

  • Participate in strategy sessions and compliance assessments.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in litigation, government investigations, or regulatory enforcement.

  • JD from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York bar.

  • CPA license preferred; federal clerkship or government/prosecutorial experience helpful.

  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $225,000 – $235,000, depending on experience.
