Job Description

Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Assistant

Department: Regulatory Compliance

Reports To: Regulatory Compliance Director

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

EEO-1: 06-Administrative Support Workers

SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to assist in the Regulatory and Compliance Department with Federal, State and Local Regulatory Compliance Filings and recordkeeping; processing contracts, leases and deeds; maintaining an internal tracking system for contracts and leases; and maintaining a schedule of compliance dates in regard to leases, contracts and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Assist with lease tracking software.

2. Maintain and respond to subpoenas and other legal requests.

3. Assist with preparation of Federal, State and Local regulatory filings.

4. Assist with contract tracking software as needed.

5. Maintain and create permanent files/records as needed.

6. Prepare check requests for payments as needed.

7. Coordinate contract/lease filings at local courthouses.

8. Coordinate all lease renewals for cell sites and retail locations.

9. General office duties as needed.

10. Maintain and track Independent Contractor list and insurance.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. Position requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED);

2. Minimum 1 years experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. Ability to read and comprehend general legal documents or contracts.

4. Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Work, Outlook) Adobe Acrobat.

5. Good verbal and Written communication skills.

6. Strong Organizational Skills.

7. Familiarity with or aptitude for working with a technology-driven product is helpful

NICHE SKILLS:

Requires basic technical or professional experience specific to wireless communications or related industry. Requires knowledge of industry terminology and general operating procedures relative to one's own job. Average recruitment period is up to 6 weeks with standard recruitment effort.

MENTAL EFFORT AND ANALYTICAL ABILITY:

Position requires mental effort or analytical ability in order to gather and interpret information in situations where the problems are somewhat complex.

VISUAL AND/OR PHYSICAL STRAIN:

Work regularly produces a high level of mental, visual and/or physical fatigue between 51% and 80% of work time.

CONTACTS WITH OTHERS:

This position frequently (21% to 50% of work time) requires contact with others within and/or outside the company. Matters of some financial, procedural or relational importance are discussed. The overall success of the Company may or may not be influenced by decisions made.

INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT AND CONSEQUENCE OF ERROR:

Work is performed in accordance with specific procedures but incumbents must set priorities, organize work and make occasional exceptions. Errors are identifiable but have relatively moderate impact in terms of cost, time, money or public/employee good will.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Position has minimal or no responsibility for the work of others. Where there is responsibility, work done by subordinate Associates is partly based on standard procedure and partly discretionary. Supervision requires oversight of work and assistance with non-standard circumstances.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Job is performed under good working conditions, almost completely absent of disagreeable elements. Associate is exposed to adverse or hazardous working conditions 5% or less of total work time.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Lift boxes weighing approximately 5 to 15 pounds

Work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines or respond to emergencies

Travel daily and/or overnight

Communicate orally and in writing in an excellent manner

Conduct oral presentations

Operate general office equipment (i.e., fax machine, photocopier, computer printer) stationed between 3 and 4 feet high

Quickly and accurately access and enter information using an automated system.

Comprehend and apply complex information

Concentrate for prolonged periods of time

Maintain attendance according to company policy
