Regional Safety Manager Phoenix, AZ Job 1857


We are recruiting for a full-time Regional Safety Manager position as an employee of our Manufacturing client in Phoenix, AZ. The position requires being on-site in Phoenix, AZ. Relocation assistance within the US is available. This is one of over 50 current EHS positions being recruited for nationwide.

Potential Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the VP of Risk and HR, the Regional Safety Manager will be responsible for the management, overall direction and oversight of Occupational Safety programs to support the facility.

You will implement, audit and continuously improve Occupational Safety practices, policies and procedures with the goal of achieving the highest levels of protection for employees and company assets


Minimum requirements for the position are:

  • Unrestricted authorization to work for any employer in the United States.
  • Ability to commute to Phoenix, AZ on a daily basis (relocation assistance is available).
  • Five (5) + years of Occupational Safety management experience.


Additional preferred competencies include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related major
  • 10+ years of Occupational Safety management experience in Manufacturing environments.
  • Professional Certification (i.e. CSP, CIH, CHMM, REHS, MSP, REM, CEP, etc.)


Primary responsibilities include:

  • Partner with plant leadership colleagues and serve as SME regarding interpretation and application of federal, state and local Safety regulations.
  • Align corporate and local Occupational Safety goals and strategies.
  • Lead employee training programs regarding Occupational Safety behaviors and compliance.
  • Lead Occupational Safety audits and inspections developing remediation plans as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiative regarding Occupational Safety policies and programs.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local Occupational Safety regulations.
