Job Description

The Regional Outside Sales Representative position is in the business of selling company products and services such as, but not limited to, video surveillance systems, burglary alarm systems, access control systems, gated entry systems, intercom systems, vehicle GPS systems, mobile video surveillance systems, A/V systems, etc. A Representative is expected to prospect and generate new business, as well as run any company provided leads, for new and existing clients. Our target markets are, but not limited to, “SMB”, “SME”, HOAs & Multi-Family. Our Representatives have a monthly/quarterly revenue, client visits and install completion visit quota. A short sales cycle, such as “one call closing”, is required with prospects in the “SMB” & “Residential” markets; however, several longer sales cycles with “SME”, HOA’s, Multi-Family Housing, Non-Profits, etc. do exist. A strong emphasis on developing proposals, presenting to individuals and groups, following up on prospects/clients and handling clients needs are required. This is a regional position with dedicated assigned territories and daily travel with the assigned region (generally 3-8 counties based on demographics & geography of the market). The position pays a base salary, monthly vehicle allowance, travel expense account, commissions and bonuses.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (weekends are optional). Hours vary based on client/company needs but generally have an 8AM start time and 5-6PM stop time; however, some later start times, delayed ending time exist.


Travel Requirements: Our Representatives travel throughout the assigned territory throughout the week (approx. 3-8 counties based on demographics & geography of the market) with some overnight stays as needed to fulfill any issued leads, meetings, etc. All travel expense is covered with company expense accounts and a vehicle allowance/reimbursement is issued for the Representatives vehicle use.


Experience Requirements: This role requires knowledge of technical systems (2+ years direct industry or similar) with the ability to design/consult such systems and a strong ability to communicate/ present. An assertive, detailed, deadline oriented and organized personality with strong negotiation skills is required. A background in CRMs, email, calendar and Microsoft Office Suite (word and excel) is required.

Other Requirements: The individual will be required to furnish their own reliable vehicle, must have no felony or criminal record, pass drug screening and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Training: This role has an on-boarding and training period of approximately 4 (+/-) weeks as a ride along with some mixed classroom technical training and certifications.

Compensation: This role is a salary position (weekly pay cycles) with commissions/bonuses, monthly vehicle allowance, paid holidays, PTO (paid time off) policy and full benefits package (after 60 day waiting period). This is an $90,000 - $140,000+ position with plenty of growth room.
