Job Summary:
The Regional Retail Banking Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations, performance, and growth of retail banking branches within an assigned region. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, leading community engagement efforts, ensuring customer satisfaction, driving sales, and ensuring compliance with banking regulations. The region manager will lead branch managers and staff to achieve financial targets, enhance service delivery, and maintain operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and profitability across the region.
  • Oversee the performance of multiple retail bank branches to ensure they meet sales, revenue, and customer service goals.
  • Lead, coach, and develop branch managers and teams to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Lead community engagement activities for the region and be actively involved in local community organizations
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with banking regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to enhance product offerings and service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Implement effective risk management policies to minimize financial and operational risks.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, product development, and other departments to improve customer experience and engagement.
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that operational efficiency and high-quality service are consistently maintained across all branches.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field (Masterโ€™s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in retail banking, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in banking software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • As required, must be compliant with Loan Officer Qualification Requirement of the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and Regulation Z.

Work Environment:

  • The role requires frequent travel within the assigned region to visit branches and attend meetings.
  • May involve extended work hours to meet business needs and deadlines.
  • Typically, the employee may sit to perform their work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of work.
