About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Credit Execution Team within the Commercial Bank, focusing on the Middle Market segment. Learn more about the career areas and business divisions at www.wellsfargojobs.com

In this role, you will manage a complex credit portfolio, including Commercial & Industrial (C&I), Commercial Real Estate, and Investor Real Estate relationships

and be responsible for meeting the long-term financial objectives while ensuring sound risk management. You will serve as a key member of a client's deal team and will play a critical role in credit underwriting, portfolio growth, and client relationship management, while mentoring junior team members and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in performing financial research, underwriting, and structuring of highly complex private banking as well as consumer and mortgage relationships within Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area
  • Review and research business financial statements and tax returns that require an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead Commercial Banking Portfolio Management team, to meet project deliverables, while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Portfolio Management peers, colleagues, and mid level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and teams or serve as a mentor for less experienced individuals


Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Commercial Banking Portfolio Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.

  • 4+ years of experience as a commercial banking Portfolio Manager, with a focus on Middle Market C&I, Commercial Real Estate, and Investor Real Estate.

  • Strong expertise in loan origination, portfolio monitoring, financial modeling, credit underwriting, and risk analysis for complex commercial businesses.

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship capabilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly.

  • In-depth knowledge of industry standards, banking regulations, and compliance requirements.

  • Familiarity with the Bank's software and credit risk management tools.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.

  • Completion of formal credit training program

Pay Range:

  • Charlotte--North Carolina Pay Range: $100,000 - $163,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)

  • Minneapolis-Minnesota Pay Range: $110,000 - $179,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations
  • Irving, Texas Pay Range: $100,000 - $163,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
