About Us:
Rock Valley Community Programs provides transitional and supportive housing, addiction and mental health treatment services to adults in the Rock County area. We provide these services to homeless male veterans; clients connected to the criminal justice system and outpatient care to anyone needing assistance with addiction and/or mental health treatment.
About the Position:
Our Program Support Specialists are responsible for maintaining safety, accountability, and order within our Residential Reentry Program (RRP), supporting approximately 125 residents from the Wisconsin Department of Correction, Federal Bureau of Prisons and U.S. Probation.
Shift: DAY SHIFT - 7am-7pm rotating schedule. Example: Week 1: 4 days, Week 2: 3 days
Pay: Starting $18.50 + $2.00 premium for weekend hours worked.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor residents through counts, facility walkthroughs and monitoring CCTV and GPS tracking.
  • Administer urinalysis and breathalyzer (UA/BA) testing
  • Respond to crises and execute emergency protocols
  • Dispense and record medications accurately (CBRF Certification)
  • Maintain recordkeeping (daily logs, check in and checkouts)
  • Facilitate intake processes and client orientations
  • Transport residents as needed using agency vehicles
Qualifications:
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations
  • Working knowledge of computers, or willingness to learn
  • Prior experience in corrections, human services, or security is a plus
  • Must be able to sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Must complete TB test, and drug screening (on-site).
  • Completion of CPR, First Aid, CBRF Fire Safety, and Choking training within 90 days
  • Employment is contingent upon passing a state and federal background check.
