Location: Red Roof Plus+ Boston- Logan

Wage: Up to $21.00/ hour depending on experience

Hours: 21 hours per week

Do you love fixing things, solving problems, and making sure everything runs like it should? Looking for a dependable role where no two days are the same? Then we're looking for you! Weekends and Holiday requried.

We are seeking Part-Time Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Boston Logan team. Competitive pay based on experience, and the opportunity to be part of a team that keeps our hotel running at its best!

  • You're comfortable working with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and general repairs.

WHAT DOES A DAY AS A SKILLED MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN LOOK LIKE?

  • Responding promptly to guest maintenance requests with professionalism and urgency.
  • Performing preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to keep everything operating smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing plumbing, small electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, doors, locks, and other building systems.
  • Completing painting, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance projects.
  • Conducting routine inspections to identify and resolve potential issues before they become bigger problems.
  • Maintaining the appearance and safety of guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior grounds.
  • Working closely with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure every guest enjoys a comfortable stay.
  • Following all safety procedures and accurately documenting completed work orders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • While most shifts are during the day; candidate must be able to work weekends and holidays.
  • Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred, but skilled trades experience is welcome.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for solving problems.
  • Knowledge of general hand tools/equipment strongly preferred.
  • Must be able to easily and frequently change from one task to another based on guests’ needs.
  • Frequent lifting and bending are required.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Have basic communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension). Be able to utilize a computer for timekeeping, OSHA training, etc.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
