Summary:
The Assistant Banquet Manager reports directly to the Sales and Catering Manager and plays a key role in the planning, coordination, and flawless execution of events across the property. This position is ideal for a motivated, hospitality professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. Pay:
  • $52,000 per year depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the planning, coordination, and execution of banquet and special events on property
  • Works directly with members, guests, and prospective clients to create memorable events from initial inquiry through completion
  • Coordinates event details including scheduling, room setup, timelines, menus, décor, entertainment, and vendor logistics
  • Prepares Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and ensures all departments are fully informed of event details and updates
  • Serves as the primary on-site contact for clients during events and ensures outstanding service and guest satisfaction throughout the event
  • Inspects banquet setup and breakdown to ensure accuracy, presentation, cleanliness, and timeliness
  • Supports banquet staff during events and assists wherever needed to ensure smooth operations
  • Coordinates with third-party vendors for deliveries, setup, and event execution
  • Finalizes billing, invoicing, and event payments accurately and professionally
  • Supervises food and beverage staff during banquet and catered events
  • Maintains detailed knowledge of all property events and assists across departments as needed
  • Provides administrative support including reviewing BEOs, vendor contracts, event files, and other related documentation
  • Assists in coordinating department team members including bartenders, servers, and set-up staff
  • Completes additional duties as assigned by the Sales and Catering Manager

Qualifications:
  • One or more years of banquet or hospitality event experience required
  • Food and beverage, à la carte, and banquet service experience required
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate staff
  • Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
