GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Development, the Annual Giving Officer is responsible for, implementing, and managing annual giving initiatives designed to increase donor participation and philanthropic support for Johnson C. Smith University. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Participate in development and execution of annual giving campaigns; manage annual fund donors and prospects; support Giving Day, reunion giving, direct mail, email, and digital campaigns; collaborate with Alumni Relations; implement donor acquisition, retention, reactivation, and upgrade strategies; maintain CRM records; prepare donor communications and reports; assist with stewardship and pledge tracking; meet annual fundraising goals.


ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Support fundraising events, assist with advancement initiatives, collaborate with campus partners, and perform related duties as assigned.


MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree and two to four years of experience in fundraising, annual giving, alumni relations, marketing, sales, communications, or related fields.
