Position Overview

The Recruiter / Onboarding Specialist will manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding efforts for a variety of positions across the organization, including construction field personnel, CDL drivers, skilled trades, mechanics, and office staff. This role requires someone who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, experience sourcing hard-to-fill roles, and the ability to create a positive candidate experience from initial outreach through onboarding.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring for field and office positions
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop recruiting strategies
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates, particularly within construction and skilled trades industries
  • Post and manage job advertisements across job boards, social media platforms, and company career pages
  • Source candidates through Indeed, referrals, networking, trade schools, and industry events
  • Conduct phone screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up with candidates throughout the hiring process
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screenings, MVR checks, and pre-employment onboarding requirements
  • Manage onboarding paperwork and ensure completion of all new hire documentation
  • Assist with orientation scheduling and onboarding coordination for new employees
  • Maintain accurate candidate records and employee files within ATS and HR systems
  • Track recruiting metrics and assist with hiring reports as needed
  • Support HR administrative functions and additional projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of recruiting, talent acquisition, onboarding, or HR experience preferred
  • Experience recruiting within construction, transportation, skilled trades, or industrial industries strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of recruiting platforms, social media sourcing, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor with strong follow-up and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
  • Must be able to work on-site in Boca Raton, FL (this position is not remote or hybrid)
