St Mary Center, is looking to hire for the Recreation Aide position. Recreation Aide Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning and executing recreational activities based on the needs and interests of the residents

  • Encourages social interaction and communication between the residents through group recreation, and community interaction programs

  • Facilitates recreational programs on an individual and group basis

  • Provides individual intervention to residents based on personal needs and conditions

  • Records resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs, writes progress notes, and attends care plan meetings as necessary

  • Assists in the upkeep, storage, and organization of the recreation department supplies

  • Assists with admission assessments, MDS, care plans and progress notes

  • Ensures that residents receive the highest quality of service in a warm and caring environment which recognizes the individuals' needs and capabilities

  • Performs other related job duties as required

Recreation Aide Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent

  • Must be computer-literate with Word, Outlook and basic software skills

  • Experience with elderly and dementia-care preferred

Part Time: 9am-5pm with every other weekend
