Chandler Aquatics seeks a responsible, self-motivated, organized Recreation Program Coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate will possess strong decision-making skills in areas such as programming and facility management, customer and employee relations, and prioritizing daily work assignments, as well as performing daily duties efficiently. Minimum qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in Recreation or a related field; and 3 years' experience in recreation services or a related field, including 1 year of supervisory experience; and A StarGuard Lifeguarding Certification within 90 days of hire or promotion; and A Starfish Swim Instructor Certification and an Aquatic Facility Operators (AFO) Certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire; and A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work. Desired qualifications StarGuard Lifeguard Training Instructor certification Strafish Swim Instructor Trainer certification This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.

The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and a driving record check as a condition of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment.
