Job Duties: Each department at the University of Wisconsin – La Crossemaintains an ongoing search to serve as a pool of potentialinstructors for program needs. If hired from this pool, theinstructor will be under the general supervision of the relevantdepartment chair. The instructor is responsible for teachingundergraduate and/or graduate courses. In addition to preparing forand holding classes [face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online], teachinginvolves maintaining currency in the content area related to thetheaching assignment, evaluating students’ work, assessing studentoutcomes, providing regular and substantive feedback on studentwork, maintaining appropriate records, and holding office hours. Inaddition, workload may involve advising students and/or providingother service to the department. Other duties may be assigned bythe chair or dean.
