Job description

Position Title: Recreation Associate
Location: The Centre Rolla
Type:ย  Part Time

Summary:ย 
Join our team of full time and part time staff at The Centre Rolla. Our facility is managed by Power Wellness Management, a company that specializes in managing state-of-the-art medically integrated health and fitness centers. Power Wellness is a medical fitness industry pioneer who improves the lives of clients with a unique and customized approach to medical fitness center development and management. Their turnkey method takes away the stress of the development and management process allowing clients to focus on other areas of their business.ย 

The Recreation Associate is responsible for administering recreation programs for youth including, but not limited to, athletic leagues, summer camps and vacation day camps, while maintaining the highest level of safety and customer service.ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:ย 
1. Administer recreational programs for participants of school age and skill levels, and supervise activities in the gymnasium to ensure safety and cooperation.ย 
2. Be responsible for all assigned programs including being prompt and ready to begin on time, ending class on time, set up prior to program and clean-up of general area after program.ย 
3. Provide order, safety and security by being present on the basketball courts and other areas in which groups of members are sharing space and/or playing organized games.ย 
4. Follow directions given on scheduled events and activities.ย 
5. Have a complete knowledge of the center, staff, services, fees and hours of operation.ย 
6. Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties (i.e., basic water rescue, infant CPR, etc.)ย 
7. Demonstrate Power Wellness Core Values & Beliefs.ย 
8. Other duties as assigned.ย 

Qualifications:ย 
โ€ข 1-6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in recreational or fitness environment preferred.ย 
โ€ข Must be sports-minded and have the ability to lead and play many sports/activities.ย 
โ€ข Must possess excellent customer service skills.ย 
โ€ข The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to scheduling of programs, working outdoors, standing for long periods of time and working in a noisy environment.ย 
โ€ข CPR/AED and First Aid certifications required within 90 days of hire (provided by Power Wellness).
