Recreation Aide

The W Group is the largest provider of assisted living and adult care in New York State, and we're looking for a compassionate, energetic Recreation Aide to join our team. If you love bringing joy to others and thrive in a people-centered environment, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the Recreation team in setting up, running, and wrapping up daily activities and programs

  • Support and encourage resident participation in large group, small group, and one-on-one sessions

  • Help implement recreational programs that enhance residents' quality of life

  • Engage with residents during activities, providing hands-on support and a friendly presence

  • Assist with community outreach and resource coordination as directed

  • Support the Recreation team with other related duties as needed

  • A "Yes, I can" attitude and genuine enthusiasm for working with seniors

  • Experience in recreation, activities, or a related field preferred

  • Interest or skill in at least one area such as art, music, dance, trivia, exercise, games, movies, literature, or poetry

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with residents from all backgrounds

  • Clear communication skills and the ability to encourage and motivate participants

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
