Shift: Part Time, Sunday and Monday 9:00AM-5:00PM

Job Description

A Certified Therapeutic Rehabilitation Specialist (CTRS) is a person who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, or related field and certified through NCTRC or pending certification exam within 90 days of hire. A CTRS is responsible for providing a variety of therapeutic services to a diverse population using recreation, cooperative activities, adapted physical education/leisure, to facilitate the emotional and mental wellbeing of individuals. As a member of Therapeutic Rehabilitation services, a CTRS is also responsible for the assessment, treatment planning and documentation of the assigned clients as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Job Responsibility

1.Provides clinical interventions in various treatment modalities within their scope of practice.ย 

2.Demonstrates flexibility in working collaboratively with peers and other disciplines within all service areasย 

3.Participates in service-based Quality Improvement initiatives.ย 

4.Participates in patient assessments and treatment planning as a part of the multidisciplinary team.ย 

5.Performs related duties, as required.ย

Job Qualification

  • Bachelor's Degree in in heath related field from an accredited school.ย 
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist upon hire or within three months of employmentย 
  • Completed an internship in a behavioral health setting, or previous work experience in a behavioral health setting.
