Job description

The College of Education & Human Sciences (COEHS) seeks applicants for the Program Coordinator position to support the Institute for Professional Development (IPD), a Level 2 Research Center and Institute within the college.

The mission of IPD is to enhance student learning by providing innovative, high-quality professional development opportunities for educators and professionals. IPD collaborates with pre-K-12 schools, higher education institutions, school districts, community organizations, and the New Mexico Public Education Department to strengthen teaching, learning, research, and service across New Mexico and beyond. Our work is grounded in collaboration, strategic planning, and culturally responsive implementation, with a commitment to continuous improvement through data-informed evaluation and measurable outcomes.

Under the supervision of the IPD Director, the Program Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, fiscal, and operational support for multiple grants, contracts, and professional development initiatives. This position plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the institute and requires strong organizational, communication, and project management skills.

  • Providing day-to-day fiscal management and budget support for grants and projects.
  • Coordinating administrative operations and providing support to IPD staff, faculty, and project partners.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders, including school districts, state agencies, higher education institutions, and community organizations.
  • Assisting with program marketing, outreach, recruitment, and dissemination of project information.
