Job description

The primary function of this position is to work with the Quality Control Manager and others in quality control and production. Your role is crucial in supporting the production department, monitoring the quality of products, and ensuring the certification of materials used to manufacture dietary supplements at Oregon's Wild Harvest. Your contribution is integral to maintaining the high standards of our products.

Key Functions/Responsibilities

  1. Walk the floor, perform batch record checks, inspect all Quality Control points (set up, equipment, metal detection, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) followed, in-process material and finished product/label), document findings:
    • Bottling/Packaging
    • Blending Room
    • Milling
    • Encapsulating
    • Raw Materials
    • Bulk Packaging and Teas
    • Bulk Capsules
    • Finished Goods
    • Extracts
    • Inspect materials in Quarantine
      • Take samples
      • Release or reject
      • File paperwork, Label Control/Inventory
      • Keep track of and monitor all labels

   Education: GED/ HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA, Other 

   Certification: NCRC Preferred 

   Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience in production or a similar environment. 

Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of education, skill, and experience. 

   Skills: 

  • Self-motivated with the ability to perform and prioritize all essential position duties and responsibilities efficiently and effectively.  

  • Able to use simple measuring devices and computers (inventory software, Excel, Word). 

  • Ability to learn and work with Quality Management and training electronic systems (Sage X3 and Novunex) 

  • Must be dependable, accurate, and possess integrity and commitment to high-quality standards 

  • Ability to perform basic math/algebra functions for (area-specific requirements) 

  • Communication effective skills (oral and written) 

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team 

   Requirements: 

  • Distinguish colors and have clarity of vision with or without corrective lenses: Near (<20”); Mid (>20”-<<20’); Far (<20’). 

  • Distinguish odors and tastes. Subject to proficiency testing. 

  • Ability to move product using a hand truck or pallet jack. 

  • Able to handle stress appropriately 

  • Able to work alone/independently 

  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) required
