Job description

** This position is onsite at our Lino Lakes, MN Facility. The hours are Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 1:00pm. **

Essential Functions:

  • Cross train and perform the following procedures to assemble and construct beams, columns and panel beds.
  • Ability to understand safe stressing procedures.
  • Ability to understand the assembly of reinforcement cages and make corrections as necessary.
  • Assemble forms according to plan drawings
  • Pour and finish concrete according to project specifications
  • Confirm all components are included in each finished project by verifying run sheets, reading blueprints and asking questions when directions are unclear.
  • Responsible to keep work area clean, safe and organized at all times by performing assigned housekeeping duties daily.
  • Prepare workstation for the next day’s schedule each shift.
  • Attend safety meetings and training sessions for all training, including any missed.
  • Wear all required PPE for each task performed and follow all safety rules and guidelines at all times.
  • Complete near miss and accident investigation forms according to company policy.
  • Follow policy for requesting time off from scheduled work to maintain excellent attendance record.
  • Assist teammates and being a team player.
  • If certified, operate forklift as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous welding experience or willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, precast, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Adept at safe use of various hand tools
  • Able to read and interpret precise measurements using a tape measure
  • Ability in math concepts to include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
  • Ability to read blueprints and plans
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Excellent eye/hand coordination

Physical Demands:

  • Occasional lifting of 75 lbs. and 40 lbs. frequently.
  • Continuous standing or walking.
  • Crouch, stoop, reach, balance, squat, kneel, crawl, push, and pull 1-4 hours a shift.
  • Bend at waist, twist, climb ladders, climb stairs, use of shoulders 1-3 hours per day.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Pay and benefits for this position are determined by the Local 563 Union Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Full scale of the position is $32.67/hr. All information regarding pay structure can be found in the Laborer's CBA.
