Job description

Middle School Receptionist

The Metropolitan School District of Washington Township (MSDWT) has a position available for a Middle School Receptionist at Westlane Middle School. The work schedule is from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, for the school year (195 working days). The FLSA classification is hourly with a rate of $17.00 per hour, and additional compensation is available for post-secondary education, approved industry certifications, and bi-lingual proficiency.

The job offers benefits including paid leave days, paid holidays, retirement contributions, life insurance, and health, dental, and vision insurance offerings.

Job Expectations & Requirements

The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for performing various duties under the supervision of the Assistant Principal in charge of office personnel. This includes keeping the front desk tidy, greeting guests, monitoring access, answering calls and emails, coordinating parent meetings, updating records, distributing mail, and assisting with administrative tasks. The position requires strong customer service, communication, and technical skills, as well as the ability to work independently and pass a criminal background check.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand for extended periods, carry and lift up to 25 pounds, operate office equipment, and perform various other tasks as assigned.
